This is the most fun you'll have this Fall! The Rogue FAT ASS series is a points-based series designed to encourage friendly competition and the enjoyment of trail running and racing. Courses vary in length from 6 mi to 18mi where new and experienced trail runners will enjoy the friendly, grass roots atmosphere and the fun and challenging trails close to Austin. This two race series will happen on October 3rd and November 21st , 2010. Each race will feature a 10k (6mi) series and a 30k(18mi) race series. Runners must enter the series to be eligible for awards. Participants can sign up for either race individually to join in the fun without being in the series.
The first race in the Rogue Fat Ass Trial Series, "the SHORE" on October 3rd will be at Lake Bastrop. This park features a wide trail with turns, challenging hills, rocks, sand and pine needles...runners are sure to stay entertained as they travel along the Lake Bastrop.
The Rogue Fat Ass Trail Series culminates with "the Mule", held on Sunday, November 21st at Muleshoe Bend on the upper south side of Lake Travis. These trails feature tons of cactus and rocks to trip runners up during the race. Enjoy the technical single-track trail that twists through trees along Lake Travis. Intended to help participants progress as a trail runner, this 2-race series provides beautiful scenery and tons of fun!
