The fifth annual Turkey Trot will kick off Thursday, Nov. 25, Thanksgiving Day, at 9:30 a.m.

The race is a 5-kilometer (3.2 mile) fun run/walk through historic Granville, Ohio.

All proceeds from the Turkey Trot will benefit the Food Pantry Network of Licking County. Runners helped raise about $12,000 in previous years — this year the need is even greater.

The 82nd Boys and 33rd Girls Ohio High School Athletic Association State Cross Country Championships will be held at the Scioto Downs Racetrack on Saturday November 6th.

This Championship is perhaps the country's best High School State Cross Country Championships with over 160 schools and 800 athletes racing in three boys and three girls races.
