About Me: My true sport is mogul skiing. I started skiing as a adult and became a top competitor in woman's mogul skiing very quickly. Although a natural athlete for my entire life, mogul skiing was a sport in which I clearly excelled. I was always encouraged by my coaches to pursue mogul skiing as a career... they told me it was my gift and therefore my obligation to pursue. I decided to become a CPA instead... god, what an IDIOT!!! I had my whole life to sit on my arse working... but limited years to be a mogul skier!
After only a few years of skiing, I was winning competitions all over New England. The most significant bring the Bear Mountain Mogul Competition at Killington. I share this title and trophy with Olympic Gold Medalist Donna Weinbrecht, among other Olympian athletes. I was a competitive mogul skier for 8 years until ACL reconstruction in 2003 ended my aspirations. After which, I decided to withdrawal from serious competition. Now, I focus on coaching other young athletes. I still compete, but just for fun.
Despite knee reconstruction... oddly enough, I am now a distance runner. After recently discovering I was capable of running more than one hour's worth of cardio (thanks Wolf!)... I have been doing more and more distance running races. Running is the only thing that doesn't bother my knee... so like it or not... i will probably become a marathoner.... ugh. At least there are cool races in PITTSFIELD VERMONT!!!!!!
Motivation: Mental health... oh yeah, and fat.
Goals: Current goal is to rehab my knee so I can run again. Oh yeah... and to be able to do a backbend like Liz.... without the being pregnant part!
