About Me: I have been running marathons and ultras since 2001. My longest race is 35 miles and my fastest marathon time is 3:10--just fast enough for Boston! :) I hope to improve that time this year.
Motivation: My motivation is personal improvement. I am never satisfied with what I have accomplished. I could do something better or improve in some way. I also want to be a role model for my daughter and the athletes that I coach. If I ask them to challenge themselves, I like to show them that I challenge myself too. Last of all, who doesn't want an excuse to go outside and experience a little peace every day?
Goals: I have two current goals. Goal number one is to run a marathon in under three hours. Goal number two is run a marathon in every state.
Workout Routines / Fitness Tips: I run daily. I try to get a variety of runs every week. I'm not a big fan of speed training on the track, so I usually reward myself after hitting the track with a "fun" run that I really enjoy. The secret to the sport is finding a routine and making sure that you stick to it.
