About Me: Years of hiking far and fast led me to start running trail races in 2005. After running GAC's Stone Cat Ale Marathon in Ipswich, MA in November 2005 I was hooked. I have run 1-2 marathons and ultras almost every month since then, with occasional breaks for winter backpacking and skiing.
I am not fast or even a 'natural' runner so my challenge is always to run my very best and always improve. The only person to beat is myself, although the competitive nature races helps me push myself to finish within a particular time or to place in the top 10 women or whatever goal I set for a particular race.
