Hobbies: My two main hobbies at this time in my life are running and singing.
I've been running consistently since May 2006, although I did some running off and on over the years. I'm more motivated to run long distances than fast times. I ran my first marathon, the Bayshore, in May 2007 and my first 50 miler, the Chicago Lakefront, in October 2007. I ran my first 50 mile trail run at McNaughton Park in April 2008. (See my race report on my blog.) I plan to run my first 100 miler at Burning River in August 2008.
My other hobby is singing. I sing in my church choir and in a group that I organized called the Tallis Singers. We specialize in singing music from the Renaissance period all a capella. I sing both alto and bass.
