It’s an amazing experience for us to see how the products that we create from scratch evolve throughout their lifetime and continue to reach more and more users all around the world. Shaping each product requires focus, dedication and a great team. As a team, we work closely together with developers and artists to realize our ideas. In our planning meetings we discuss the next steps of our product, plan our bi-weekly sprints and collectively decide about the next steps and features of our product. For example, in each 2-week-long sprint, our studio team develops a whole episode of new levels for tens of thousands of users who are waiting in anticipation. Sounds like fun? It is.
We work in a highly analytical manner. Before any global launch, we conduct multiple AB tests with different user groups to gather a bundle of data. Crunching this data allows us to take the right decision about how to move forward.
Everyday we reach hundreds of millions of users with our products. Engaging with all those people is not easy. But who wants easy? We use a highly analytical approach to show users the right content on the right channel at the right time. We manage our marketing activities and make decisions purely according to data and results of extensive AB tests. Since we are reaching millions of users every day, we are able to collect data, perform complex analysis and crunch numbers very quickly.
We’re always seeking new methods of reaching people: we created the first-ever performance marketing campaign with a celebrity. These videos were watched by more than 100m unique users only in the US - which is more than 30% of the US population – with total views exceeding 600m.
Big Data & BI
We collect and process several terabytes of behavioral data a day so we can optimize and improve the user experience. Our Big Data & BI Teams work hand in hand to achieve this mission.
In the Big Data Team, we are building large distributed systems that are the heart of our data architecture that serves billions of requests a day. Our tech stack is built on top of open source and cloud-based technologies that drive batch and real-time processing. Our rapidly increasing user base brings up unique data and scalability challenges that are fun to get to grips with. This also drives us to be very experimental and to build what hasn’t been tried before.
At this stage, we create necessary data models and crunch our data down to bite sized, easily digestible data layers to turn this enormous volume into meaningful insights, along with heavily customizable dashboards where our teams can break the data down in the way they like.
Products that are used by 300+ millions of users require scalable and highly available systems. In Cloud Platform Team, we strive to deliver a great product experience so that our users can enjoy our products anywhere and anytime they want. We keep ourselves up to date regarding the latest DevOps techs and constantly discuss which solutions fit our needs best.
As our user base rapidly grows we have the chance to work with data at an incredible scale. This gives the team the unique opportunity to work on edge cases and try unique scenarios to be able to react fast when needed. We are a tight-knit team in charge of Peak’s entire infrastructure which allows us to touch on multiple disciplines and grow together.
Producing artwork that is enjoyed by millions of users a day is a really great feeling. We believe that a solid balance of innovative ideas, world-class engineering and outstanding artwork all wrapped up in a really great team is required to create an outstanding product. Within our agile environment we collaborate with Product Specialists and Software Engineers to discuss each idea before bringing it to life. By aligning our vision of each product we have the possibility to push the limits of creativity. Producing art is a craftsmanship and we devote ourselves to design every aspect with the same dedication - be it a character, an intuitive UI or a button.
